Emma has possibly one of the UK’s most ‘listened to’ voices.
She has been a voiceover for more than 20 years, and these days spends most of her working hours with headphones on in her own studio.
Emma’s voice has represented clients from across the world. She regularly works on corporate films, e-training projects, commercials, interactive phone systems, examination material, books and apps. Blue chip clients that have used her voice include Samsung, VISA, Microsoft, Paypal, Nissan, Phillips, Shell and … Transport for London. Londoners will know her voice extremely well as each day she directs millions of travellers on London’s buses, Overground trains and Riverbus. Since 2006, she has recorded more than 55,000 announcements for Transport for London.
Emma’s background is in radio, moving from presenting traffic news to hosting hugely popular breakfast shows in both Cardiff and London, and eventually to programming Darlington’s radio station, back in the days when it was known as Alpha FM. It’s the broadcasting skills she learned along the way that she now employs to the benefit of her voiceover clients.
